Health & Safety

Health & Safety

We know working within the construction industry can be dangerous and for this reason we take Health and Safety extremely seriously, hence pledging our commitment to reducing risks on sites.

We have an extensive Health and Safety Policy, coupled with Method Statements and Risk Assessments both produced for each site, geared to the specific risks on any site.  As we all know not any two sites are the same.

Our site operatives are qualified holding the current CSCS cards and they are supervised by our foreman's who are mostly qualified holding both CSCS and SSTS cards.  It is important to Roberge that it maintains 100% compliance on the CSCS cards.

We have contracted the very best of Health and Safety Advisers, they are called Citation plc and have consultants qualified whom are qualified members of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

Back in 2009 we were overwhelmed to be awarded the British Safety Council's International Safety Award 2009.  We have invested heavily in reducing on site risks by employing Citation and focusing on communicating better with our on-site operatives perfecting our risk assessment, method statements coupled with continually undertaking site safety checks and regular tool box talks. We have furthermore trained our Contracts Managers, all of which have completed IOSH courses.  This Safety Award is a really accolade to our continued efforts towards reducing on site Heath and Safety risks.
